SNT Multiconnect offers a reliable telephone payment solution with mobuy

SNT Multiconnect is offering noncash payment transactions from fixed and mobile networks with mobuy.

Consumers will be able to register up to ten phone numbers and pay at all Points of Sale with one call in future. This means that no confidential data needs to be entered at the Point of Sale or in Internet trading. Vendors profit from fast processing and low transaction fees.

The German Federal Association for Information Technology, telecommunications and New Media e.V. (BITKOM) estimates the economic damage by phishing – the theft of personal data – at around €10.9 million in 2009, with an upward trend. The risk of secret being data being intercepted is particularly high where Internet purchases are concerned. Many consumers are thus wary of entering confidential credit card or bank data in online trading. The mobuy solution, developed by Mobile Payment AG and marketed by SNT Multiconnect, offers an alternative to this, which meets the requirements of an increasing safety awareness. All users need is a phone number and a bank account.

The service is available after a one-off registration at mobuy of up to ten phone numbers from fixed and mobile networks and verification of bank data. If a consumer wants to conclude their order with a payment, they will receive a unique fixed network phone number generated by the system. In the subsequent call, the user’s own phone number is sent to the system and the caller is thus uniquely identified. The customer confirms the purchase by entering their personal PIN, which initiates a bank transfer. Apart from the usual connection fee, no further costs are incurred for the consumer.

Every payment transaction with mobuy is covered, which means that there is no contingency risk. The amount is credited within a few working days. At the end of the month, the vendor receives a detailed statement of charges on the fixed and variable transaction fees that have been incurred during the billing period. mobuy does not have a minimum contract period, basic monthly charges or a registration fee and can thus be used flexibly.

“In online trading, mobuy is the better alternative to EC card and credit card payments, as consumers do not have to divulge any confidential data“, says sales director Herman Kasch from SNT Multiconnect. ”Vendors, on the other hand profit from a simple and costeffective alternative to competing forms of payment. We envision great potential for this form of payment, particularly in the online mail order trade and in the gaming segment.“
